Hawaii Karate Seinenkai

Frank Ordonez was one of the founders of Kajukenbo, a martial art formed in 1947 in Palama, in the Kalihi area of Honolulu. The name Kajukenbo reflects the arts from which it was combined:

KA	Karate	Peter Choo
JU	Judo Jujitsu	Frank Ordonez Joe Holck
KEN	Kenpo	Adriano Emperado
BO	Chinese Boxing	George Chang

The five founders of Kajukenbo were members of an organization called the Black Belt Society. Collectively, they knew other arts than those stated above, such as western boxing. From its humble roots at the Palama Settlement, Kajukenbo has spread throughout Hawaii, to the mainland, and the world.
